O B I T U A R Y
Mrs. Barbara Jean Larimore Stearman of the Gabe Community of Green County, daughter of the late Oather Green Larimore and Lillie Mae Milby Larimore, was born on Tuesday, December 4, 1928 in Bullitt County, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at her home. She was 89 years, and three months of age.
She united in marriage to James Thomas Stearman, Sr. on February 7, 1948 who preceded her in death on July 20, 2012.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church. She was a farmer at heart and poured her life into her family and the land that she loved. She managed the Stearman Dairy operation as well as working in the tobacco and other aspects of farming along with her husband. Her passion was found in the thousands of photos that she made of her family and their activities during her lifetime. When she was able, she kept her yard and garden immaculate and she always grew beautiful flowers. In her later years, she and James were able to do some traveling, but only after spending a lifetime of farming, raising and educating their six children.
Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: J.T. and Shelia Stearman, and Roger and Debra Stearman all of Greensburg; four daughters and two sons-in-law: Jo Anne and Jeff Withers, Brenda DeSimone all of Greensburg, Kathy Stearman and Keith Glynn of Louisville, and Regina Johnson and her friend, Roger Henderson both of Greensburg; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Eudell Stearman, Lynda Stearman both of Hodgenville, Lee and Eleanor Stearman of Elizabethtown, Rachel Conrad of Cold Springs, and Margaret Pepper of Campbellsville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; and a very special friend and neighbor: Shirley Whitlow of Gabe.
Mrs. Stearman was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law: Kenneth DeSimone and Peter Johnson; a grandson: Zachary Tyler Johnson; four sisters and two brothers: Wilma Davis, Hazel Troutman, Christine Clements, Louise Hays, Woodruff Larimore, and Oather Eugene Larimore.

There will be graveside services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Larimore Stearman held at 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens to be interred next to her husband. Family officiating. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
In keeping with her request, there will be no formal visitation or other funeral services. Graveside only.
