Betty Jean Warner, age 80, of Campbellsville died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Taylor Regional Hospital of Campbellsville, KY.

Betty Jean was born November 20, 1934 in Casey County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Raymond Harvey and the late Victoria Adele (Murphy) Lay.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Separate Baptist Church. Besides being a dedicated homemaker, she had worked for seventeen years for Fruit of the Loom. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano and spending time in her garden.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel Warner of Campbellsville; three sons, Donnie Warner and his wife, Mary and Travis Warner and his wife, Clarrissa of Louisville and Steven Warner and his wife, Linda of Campbellsville; five grandchildren, Kristin Goetz, Alison Warner, Jeremy Steven Warner, Zachary Scott Warner and Rowan Warner; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Avery Goetz and her brothers and sisters, Marshall Leigh and his wife Clairlene, of Liberty, Emma Sutherlin and her husband, Ernest, of Arnold, MO, Preston Lay and his wife (Earlene) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Glendon Lay and his wife, Katie of Liberty, Linda Helm and her husband, Wayne of Bronston, Lisa True and her husband, Stephen of Stanford and Shelia Hogue and her husband, Johnny of Liberty.

Betty Jean was preceded in death by a son, Darrel Glenn Warner; and brothers, John Lay; Gary Lay; and Terry Lay.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 23 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Vernon Luttrell officiating. Entombment will at Campbellsville Memorial Garden.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22 from 5 to 9 pm at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E. Main St., Campbellsville, KY.

Contributions in her memory are suggested to the Pleasant Grove Separate Baptist Church Building Fund.
