Carol Jean Brown of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late William Fred Simpson, Jr. and Shelia Mae Gumm, was born September 11, 1964 in Campbellsville, KY and departed this life on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at her residence. She was 58 years of age.

She was of the Catholic Faith, She was a Tool manager for Troy Construction. She enjoyed being outdoors, fussing at the kids, was OCD about cleaning and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by one son: Brandon Brown and companion Makyta.

Four grandchildren: Ryan Sears and companion Kailey, Josh Simpson, Jr., Jacob Simpson and Serenity Brown. Two Great–grandchildren: Daxton Sears and Mihlaya Sears. Special Nephew Trent Waymon and companion Heather and great Neice and nephew Trinity and Blayne Waymon. One daughter-in-law: Kari Simpson.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Billy Ray “Goat” Brown, two children: Joshua Doyle Simpson, Sr., Tara Simpson Lamer, One sister: Bridgette Denise Simpson.

 

There will be a funeral service for Carol Jean Brown on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel,

1765 New Columbia Rd. Campbellsville

with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Micah Sears will officiate.

Visitation will be held Friday April 7, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until time of the service at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel.
