Donald Cranston "Crank" Farmer, the son of the late Elmer and Sudie Farmer was born Sunday, July 16, 1933 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Elizabethtown at the Hardin memorial Hospital. He was 84 years, 7 months and 27 days of age.
He was a former employee of BP in Campbellsville and Big Johns in Marion County. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the VFW Post in Lebanon and the American Legion in Campbellsville and was of the Presbyterian Faith.
Survivors include his wife: Betty Jean Brown Farmer of Campbellsville; four children: Christine Farmer of Maryland, Greg Veatch and wife Karen of North Carolina, DeWayne Veatch and wife Francine of Tennessee and Lisa Loy of Lebanon; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; special friends: Mary Lou Stiens and family and a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: William and Milton Farmer.
The funeral service for Mr. Donald Cranston "Crank" Farmer will be conducted Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Orr officiating.
Entombment in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with full Military Honors by the Casey County Honor Guard.
Family request visitation from 5-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
