Doris Jean Bright Wilson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Linus Bright and Avis England Bright, was born September 23, 1938 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:55 A.M., Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
She professed faith in Christ and was a proud member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Jean was a retired owner of Wilson’s Family Restaurant with her husband, Sonny, and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom.
She united in marriage to “Sonny” Miller Wilson, Jr. September 23, 1956 and he preceded her in death February 26, 2003.
Jean is survived by three daughters: Kathy Wilson and Lisa Bishop of Campbellsville and Shari Daffron and husband, Terry of Elk Horn; five grandchildren: Tessa Collins, Nick Wilson and Paige Nolley and husband, Drew of Campbellsville, Torri Christensen of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Timothy Bishop and wife, Kayla of Bowling Green; two great-grandchildren: Henry Nolley and Anna Mae Nolley; two brothers and six sisters: Alvin Bright and wife, Judy, Willard Bright, Patricia Gray and husband, Gary, Margaret Burress, Faye Burton, Christine Greer and Judy Brockman of Campbellsville, Rita Moore and husband, Jack of Louisville; one brother-in-law, Randall Brockman of Campbellsville; special friend, Bobby Harmon of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Steve M. Wilson October 31, 2015 and a sister Lorena Brockman March 29, 2020.
