Dorothy Porter

Dorothy Jean Porter of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Carl Harding Porter and Edna Mae Lawson Porter, was born October 22, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:15 P.M., Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 80
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church and faithfully attended Sunday School when she was able.
Jean stayed on the farm with her parents and enjoyed her chickens. To make a little extra spending money, she raised and sold strawberries and collected bottles and cans.
She was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel.
Jean is survived by one sister-in-law, Opal Porter Nally and husband, C. L. of Campbellsville; her caregivers and nephews: Gary Porter and wife, Tammy, Barry Porter and wife, Michelle and Richard Porter and wife, Amy of Campbellsville; several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and cousins and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Porter.
