Edwin Spurling

November 18, 1936 — October 21, 2021

Mr. Edwin Lee Spurling of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown. Born on November 18, 1936 to the late William Gobel and Mary (Tarter) Spurling, he was 84 years old. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended East Campbellsville Church of God. Mr. Spurling was a retiree of General Electric.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Bernice (Nolley) Spurling,
Three children: Sharon Spurling and husband Harry Reif of Campbellsville, Sandra Spurling Morris and husband Mark T. of Campbellsville, and Sabrina Spurling Young and husband Tracy of Hendersonville, TN,
Two sisters: Mattie Jean Smothers and Margaret Chappell, both of Campbellsville,
Three grandchildren: Suzanne Bennett and husband Andrew J., Sara Drury and husband Cody, and Tyler Young,
Three great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Nellie, and Merryn Drury,
And a host of extended family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by seven siblings: Charles W. Spurling, Harold Spurling, Jimmy Spurling, William Gobel Spurling, Jr., Geneva Maye Spurling, Opal Maxine Spurling, and Hazel Sullivan.
The family will receive friends at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home on Monday, October 25, 2021, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. We ask that all attendees wear a face covering and maintain a safe social distance.
Mr. Spurling will be laid to rest in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery following a private funeral service.

Bro. Andrew John-Austin Bennett and Bro. Robert Morris will be officiating.
