Elymus Lewis

Elymus Lewis of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Allen Ford and Lulu Jones Ford was born October 9, 1917, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:26 A.M., Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Campbellsville.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was an employee of Metzmeier Nursing Home for some twenty six years.

She united in marriage to Carl Lewis December 24, 1935. He preceded her in death April 25, 1997.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter and their spouses, Wendell and Goldie Lewis of Elkhorn, Junior and Brenda Lewis of Shepherdsville and Rebecca and Dale Patterson of Windsor; five grandchildren: Alan Patterson and wife, Lilly and Keith Patterson and wife Amy of Windsor, Vickie Coy and husband Alan of Mt. Washington, Barry Lewis of Campbellsville and Stephen Lewis of Louisville; one great-grandson and four great-granddaughters: Josh Patterson, Jenny Patterson, Kelly Patterson, Amanda Lewis and Taylor Lewis; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Pearline Smith.
