Geneva Durham

January 1, 1932 — February 21, 2020

Mrs. Geneva Lee Harris Durham of Green County, daughter of the late Hazel Blaine Harris and Helen Coffey Harris, was born on Friday, January 1, 1932 in Metcalfe County and departed this life on Friday, February 21, 2020 in Green County. She was 88 years, one month, and 20 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was a retired bank teller for the Greensburg Deposit Bank. Her proudest accomplishments though, were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She united in marriage to Robert H. "Bobby" Durham Jr. on September 9, 1951 who preceded her in death on December 1, 2015.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Eddie and Anne Durham of Greensburg; two daughters and a son-in-law: Betty Durham of Campbellsville, and Pam and Tim Deaton of Greensburg; seven grandchildren and their spouses: Andi and Ashley Shuffett of Greensburg, Cheslee Bloyd of Lexington, Laura and Stan Hodges of Campbellsville, Lee and Ashleigh Durham, Lizi and Corey Witcher all of Greensburg, Kelley Deaton of Bardstown, and Raegan and Tyler Stevens of Greensburg; 13 great-grandchildren: Corbin and Mollie Shuffett, Robert Paxton, Ansley, and Maura Bloyd, Davin and Lyla Phillips, Harper Hodges, Maddox and Maryn Durham, Clay and Elin Witcher, and McKinley Stevens; a brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Barbara Harris of Green County; a sister and brother-in-law: Connie and Irv Dunham of Alabama; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Ree and John Ingram of Jeffersontown; special friend and neighbor: Lillian Moore; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Lee Harris Durham will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Todd Young officiating.
Visitation is requested from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Tuesday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River, which can be made at the funeral home.
