George Clark

December 17, 1920 — April 30, 1982

George Clark 61, of Campbellsville, Route 1 died at 12:45pm Friday, April 30th, in Greenwood, South Carolina. He was a member of the Elkhorn Baptist Church where is was teacher of the Adult Mens Sunday School Class. He has been an employee of the Kroger Company for more than 29 years. He united in marriage to Opal Watson August 23, 1940. to this union 4 daughters and 2 sons were born. Jane Wilson and Wilma Ann Clark both of Campbellsville; Ellen Kessler of Lebanon; Clara Hord and Don Clark of Greenwood South Carolina; and Jerry Clark of Springfield, Illinois.
Besides his wife and children, he is survived by 9 grandchildren, his mother, Clara Johnson Clark of Campbellsville, 2 sisters, Isabelle Rinehart of Campbellsville and Audrey Bright of Los Angeles, California; several other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were at 1:00 pm Monday, May 3 at the Parrott and Ramsey Funeral home in Campbellsville by the Rev. Jim Collison and the Rev. William R. Beard. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Adult Mens Sunday School Class of Elkhorn Baptist Church; Walter Harrison, Walter Rainwater, James Harmon, Edward Bright, Jeremiah Cox, Richard Cable, Samuel Bright, Stanely Williams and Joe Robert Pennington.
