George Williams

George Williams of Campbellsville, son of the late George Jewell Williams and Mary Ruth Hicks Williams Stewart, was born September 5, 1947 in Warren County, Kentucky. He died at 8:34 P.M., Monday, August 13, 2018 in Campbellsville. Age: 70

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

George was a retired manager with the Green River Lake and U. S. Corps of Engineers.

He united in marriage to Deborah Wilson February 21, 1985.

Besides his wife, Deborah Williams of Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters: Holly Ann Nesbitt of Bowling Green and Jennifer Camille Thurmond; six grandchildren; one sister, Janetta Holeman of Sevierville, Tennessee; his mother-in-law, Mary P. Wilson of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Hager.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 P.M., Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Michael Coppersmith and Rev. Daniel Lyons with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard

Cremation to follow with placement in a niche at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens
