Mr. James Calvin Stumph was born July 13, 1936 in Jefferson County, KY to the late Robert A. and Georgie Mae Thompson Stumph. He departed this life Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY, having attained the age of eighty years, two months and thirteen days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Methodist Church. He was an insurance agent manager, Realtor and Dairy Farmer. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Milby Stumph, two sons and daughters-in-law: James Tim and Amanda Stumph of Greensburg, William Robert and Vickie Stumph of Henderson and one daughter: Judy Alison Cole of Cecilia, KY, one brother Sylvester A. Bud Stumph of Shelbyville one sister: Mary Catherine Strode of Louisville, seven grandchildren: Dustin James Eitniear of Cecilia, KY, Alison Leigh and Travis Phillips of Nashville, Mason Robert Stumph of Henderson, Meredith Nicole Stumph of Louisville, Whitney Denise and Josh Judd of Greensburg, Rachael Mae and Hunter Matney of Greensburg and Grayson Chance Cole of Clarksville, Tennessee and four great grandchildren: Coledon Freedle, Noleigh Phillips, Graylin Phillips of Nashville and Peyton Judd of Greensburg.
Funeral services for Mr. James Calvin Stumph will be conducted 11 a.m. Central Time Friday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Father Joe Fowler and Rev. Meryl Young officiating. Entombment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Garden Mausoleum.
The family has requested that visitation be 5 p.m. til 8 p.m. Central Time Thursday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to be donations to the Parkison's Foundation. These can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
