O B I T U A R Y
Mr. John Herman Underwood of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Dee Underwood and Nora Jones Underwood, was born on Friday, August 18, 1933 in Hodgenville, Kentucky and departed this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at his son's residence in Taylor County. He was 86 years, one month, and seven days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a former Laborer at the Saw Mills.
He united in marriage to Marie Margaret Simpson Underwood on April 18, 1969, who preceded him in death on June 23, 2010.
He is survived by three daughters: Kathy Hicks, Sue Watson, and Diane Underwood all of Campbellsville; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Ray Underwood and Phillip and Cindy Underwood all of Campbellsville; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; a brother: William Eugene Underwood of Hodgenville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Underwood was also preceded in death by a son: Danny Dale Underwood; and numerous brothers and sisters.
A graveside service for Mr. John Herman Underwood will be conducted at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens beginning at 11:00AM, Central Time on Friday, September 27, 2019. Bro. Wilburn Bonta officiating.
