Mrs. Joreena Henderson of the Little Barren Community, daughter of the late Earl Phelps, and Virginia McIntyre Hurt, was born on Tuesday, May 18, 1954 and departed this life on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the Norton's Hospital in Louisville. She was 66 years, 3 months, and 21 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Trammel Creek Baptist Church. She was an employee of fruit of the loom for eight years, was a foster parent for 14 years, was the president of the Kentucky Foster Care Association for two years, and owned and operated Green County TLC daycare for 20 or more years.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Thomas Henderson of Greensburg, having united in marriage on August 28, 1971.
Other survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law: Dafphine Henderson of Glasgow, Elizabeth Leanne Henderson and a special friend Jessica Patton of Greensburg, Janice and Edward Price of Greensburg; a son and daughter-in-law: Joseph Thomas and Carol Henderson of Greensburg; eleven grandchildren: Jacquelyn Brooke Henderson, Allie Perkins, Elijah Perkins, Felicity Perkins, Kaytlin Henderson, Kelsey Milby, Carlee Henderson, Trinity Henderson, Luke Henderson, Avry Price, and Max Price; one great-grandchild: Ladarius Devore; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Lukendra Hurt, Delilah and Dennis Estes of Greensburg; and a brother: Joe Phelps of Colorado.
Mrs. Henderson was also preceded in death by a brother: Steven Earl Phelps.

The funeral services for Mrs. Joreena Henderson will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Todd Young and Bro. Garnett Davis officiating.
A WALK THROUGH visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Central Time, Friday and after 7 A.M. Saturday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Oneida Baptist Institute, WHAS Crusade For Children, or St. Jude's.
