Joseph Posey

Mr. Joseph Nelson Posey of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Joseph Bloyd Posey and Letha Bell Curry Posey, was born on August 23, 1943 in Adair County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, May 8, 2017 at his home. He was 73 years, five months, and five days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Community Baptist Church. He was formerly a truck drill operator-road construction for Ralph Rogers Construction Company.

Survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith Ann Young Posey of Greensburg, having united in marriage on January 4, 1967.

Other survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Alan and Leona Posey, Nelson D. Posey all of Greensburg, and Mark and Kim Posey of Bowling Green; three grandchildren: Amanda Boley of Campbellsville, Alisha Posey of Greensburg, and Owen Posey of Bowling Green; a great-grandchild: Kaleigh Boley of Campbellsville; step-great-grandchildren: Jameson Stillwell, Jeremy Stillwell both of Green County, and Matthew Stillwell of Larue County; a sister and brother-in-law: Valerie and Junior Pierce of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Posey was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild: Robert Boley, III.

The funeral services for Mr. Joseph Nelson Posey will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Central Time, Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with entombment to follow in the Greensburg City Cemetery Mausoleum. Bro. Mark Lile officiating.

Visitation is requested from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M., Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Thursday until time of the funeral service.

Memorials are suggested to Hosparus of Green River, which can be made at the funeral home.
