James W. "Jack" Garnett of Campbellsville, son of the late Richard Lee Garnett and Elizabeth Pearl Walters Garnett, was born March 3, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:50 P.M., Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Lexington. Age: 86
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
Jack served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom where he worked for forty six and a half years.
He was also a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F&AM.
Jack united in marriage to Marie Bell on January 9, 1952.
Besides his wife, Marie Garnett of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter, Donna Clark and husband, Kim; one granddaughter, Jackie Fair; three great-grandchildren: Thomas Hafley, Jacob Hafley and Jaclyn Fair; one sister, JoAnn Waller, all of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Wallace Garnett and Jewell Wright.
