Patricia Hash

April 7, 1932 — August 28, 2021

Mrs. Patricia Louise “Pat” Hash of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at her home. Born in Clementsville on April 7, 1932 to the late Leonard and Mary Green Wethington, she was 89 years, 4 months, and 21 days of age. A graduate of the first class at St. Bernard School, she met her husband, Mr. James Thomas “Jay” Hash, and they united in marriage in 1950. They would remain a devoted couple until his death on Oct. 12, 1998. Mrs. Hash was an employee of Fruit of the Loom, retiring after 25 years of service. Later, she joined the staff of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, serving there as a custodian. She found her passion in helping others, and was a regular volunteer at the Mission Store. She especially enjoyed singing in the church choir, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to any in need.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Five children: Angie Akin, Byron Hash and wife Brenda, June Sooter and husband Dwight, Mike Hash, and Donna Hash,

A daughter-in-law: Carolyn Hash,

Grandchildren (who will also serve as pallbearers): Rebecca Hash, Brian Hash, Shawn Sowders, Tracy Montgomery, and  Isaiah Perkins,

Step-grandchildren: Shane Sooter, Jeremy Sooter, Josh Sooter, Chris Williams, Joey Inman, and Jessica Heady,

Great-grandchildren: Destiny Hash, Nathan Sowders, Makayla Montgomery, Kylee Sowders, Kayden Cox, Brayson Cox,Avah Perkins, J.J. Sowders, Thor Perkins, and Remi James Perkins,

Step-great grandchildren: Ryan Hash, Brooklyn Maupin, Chris Maupin, Katie Maupin, Madison Tucker, and Kaden Bloyd,

And a host of other family and friends, including several other great and step-great, grandchildren living abroad.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son: Steve Hash; two grandsons, Nathan Sooter and Josh Sowders; a premature great-grandson: Jaxon Sowders; and siblings: Richard Wethington and wife Virginia, Odelia Wethington and husband Frank, Murrel Wethington and wife Cyrilla, Luard Wethington and wife Jenny, Jean Ward and husband Roy, Jodie Wethington and wife Lovie, Genevieve Spires Antle and husband Obie, and T.V. Wethington and wife Emoline.

There will be a funeral mass to honor the life of Mrs. Pat Hash on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 425 N. Central Ave., Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sep. 1, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY
