Richard Byron Robb age 76 passed peacefully in his home in Vine Grove, KY Monday morning November 1, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a Veteran of the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post 10281 in Vine Grove, KY and previously commander of VFW Post 5813 in Greensburg.
Richard B. Robb was born on February 11, 1945 in Winfred, South Dakota to Dan and Viola (Edwards) Robb. He was baptized and confirmed at the Congregational Church in Winfred. Richard and Linda Robb were married on June 28, 1980 at South Greensburg Baptist Church in Greensburg, Ky.
Richard is survived by his wife of 42 years. He is survived by his children Ricky Robb of Louisville, Terra Verdi & husband Mike Verdi of Elizabethtown, Rachel Johnson & husband Charles Johnson of Vine Grove, Renee Dobson of Campbellsville and Chris Robb of Campbellsville.
He was one of several siblings. He was preceded in death by his brothers Leonard, Kenneth, Gaylord, Gary Dean and sister Edna Mae. He is survived by brothers David (Pennie) Danny, Randy (Deb), and sister-in-law Pat.
He leaves behind grandchildren: Brittany Kerrigan, Abigail Wren, Jermal Campbell, Jerell Campbell, Jerica Johnson, Michael Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Keyshawn Johnson, Chaz Johnson, Kelsey Milby, Kayden Dobson, & Brandon Robb.
He leaves behind great grandchildren: Aurie Campbell-Ward, Leighton Milby, Keagan Johnson, and two great grandchildren on the way.
Per Richards wishes he requested to be cremated and have a graveside service with military honors, which will be held at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens in Campbellsville, KY on Friday November 5, 2021 at 1:00pm EST.
The family would like to thank Chism Funeral Home, Hosparus Health & Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hosparus Health of Elizabethtown, VFW Post 5813 in Greensburg or VFW Post 10281 in Vine Grove.
