Robert Bohanon

September 20, 1939 — March 22, 2019

Mr. Robert Earl “Bo” Bohanon of Campbellsville, son of the late Omar and Flossie (Baumgardner) Bohanon, passed from this life on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the University of Louisville Hospital. Born on September 20, 1939, he was 79 years, 6 months, and 2 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Bohanon believed in the value of dedication and hard work, and retired from Fruit of the Loom after 40 years of service. He enjoyed car shows, and competed often, including the famed Carl Casper Custom Auto Show. He loved spending time with family and friends when he wasn’t competing, and traveled to many shows with the Green River Cruisers.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His wife of 53 years: Mrs. Sue (Jones) Bohanon,

Five children: Tony Dixon and wife Margie of Elk Horn, Tracey Marshall and husband Harold of Louisiana, Tim Dixon and wife Leslie of Lebanon, Robin Bohanon of Campbellsville, and Misti Sapp and husband Mark of Campbellsville,

Two siblings: Mae Parker of Somerset, and Harlan Bohanon and wife Helen of Campbellsville,

Close friends: John and Glenda Meredith of Harrodsburg,

Thirteen grandchildren,

Nineteen great-grandchildren,

Five great-great grandchildren,

And a host of other family and close friends.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Barker, and two siblings, Marjorie Hunt and Garlan Bohanon.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Bohanon on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene, 912 W Main St, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. David Young will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, March 25, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
