Ryan Shipp, 29, of Campbellsville, Ky. died at 4:25 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2008, in Campbellsville as the result of a motorcycle crash.
Son of Dr. Robert Shipp and Linda Kraus Shipp of Campbellsville, he was born on March 7, 1979, in Taylor County. He was a student and had attended Full Sail Film School in Orlando, Fla. He was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors also include two brothers and a sister-in-law, Scott and Andrea Shipp of Campbellsville and Adam Shipp of Elizabethtown, Ky.; a sister, Samantha Shipp of Louisville, Ky.; his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Virginia Shipp of Campbellsville; two aunts, Linda Shofner and her husband, Bobby, of Campbellsville and Sharon Barnes of Olathe, Kan.; and a nephew and a niece, Mason Shipp and Addison Shipp.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Ann Kraus.
Funeral was Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Dave Walters and Jason Castenir officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Dustin Burton, T.J. Olson, Andy Pierce, Adam Shipp, Scott Shipp and Bobby Shofner.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
