Welby Martin of Campbellsville, son of the late Vernon "Radio" Martin and Arlie Mae Brockman Martin, was born August 29, 1948 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 12:05 P.M., Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Campbellsville. Age: 69

Welby was a retired glazer with Central Kentucky Glass Company. He professed faith in Christ and attended Pitman Valley Baptist Church.

Welby love traveling, listening to gospel music with his wife, camping and UK basketball, but most of all he loved his grandchildren.

He united in marriage to Doris Jean Stephens June 11, 1977 and she preceded him in death November 17, 2013.

He is survived by one son and one daughter: Rodney Martin and Cindie Sharp and husband, Ernie of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Gabriel Sharp and Breanna Sharp of Campbellsville, Zachery Sharp of Dallas, Texas, Mark Martin and Hannah Martin of Eubank, Kentucky; two brothers: Wallace Martin and wife, Sandy of Georgetown and Ervin Martin and wife, Linda of Elizabethtown; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Joyce Lee and Juanita Carter.
